Personal Training Done Differently
We've noticed a trend in the industry where people get too reliant on their trainers—they do every session together and have all the thinking done for them. But when life changes and they train on their own, progress drops off because good habits weren't built in the first place. At Deken Strong, we focus on educating clients to train confidently by themselves. That's why we only do fortnightly or weekly 1:1 sessions, with a program to follow outside them. We also run Saturday team training sessions (11am–12:30pm) for extra in-person support. Only available to members of Proraw Gym.
Silver Personal Training Package
$80 p/w
  • Fortnightly 1 hour PT session
  • Personalised programming tailored to your goals and individual needs
  • Access to the Deken Strong Training App to view programs, upload training videos, and track progress
  • Weekday communication via WhatsApp for questions or feedback
  • Check-in at the end of every training block (~4-6 weeks) where you can submit training videos for extra feedback on your technique
  • Access to our weekly team training sessions on Saturdays from 11:00am–12:30pm. These sessions are great for extra in-person feedback, and getting to train with the rest of the Deken Strong community.
  • Two complimentary 1-hour PT sessions to help you start strong and ensure your technique is dialled in from the beginning

About Your Coach

Alex Deken
With over 20 years of strength training experience and 13 years competing in powerlifting, Alex became Australia's #1 lifter all-time in the under-90kg division, reaching as high as #7 worldwide. Since starting coaching and personal training in 2014—including as head powerlifting coach at PTC South Melbourne from 2015-2020—Alex founded Deken Strong and has coached over 200 people to competition, including 15 state champions, 8 national champions, and a world champion. He has also taught over 150 beginners the basics of the powerlifts through an 8-week Fundamentals program. Alex is passionate about using powerlifting adn strength training as a tool to help people find growth, community, belonging, and a stronger sense of purpose in their lives. Alex is currently available for both in-person and online coaching.
